Patrick is a Professor of Statistics & Business Analytics, Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, former Director of the Centre for Academic Practice (CfAP), and Member, Committee for Academic Planning & Quality Assurance, Coal City University, Enugu, Nigeria, www.ccu.edu.ng.

Patrick graduated with BSc (1st Class Hons) and MSc (Distinction) in Statistics from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and obtained a PhD in Stochastic Modelling (Statistics) as a Commonwealth Scholar, at the University of Sheffield, UK. Following that, he received his business education at the Manchester Business School, UK, and a Postgraduate Certificate for Learning and Teaching in Higher Education, at Sheffield Hallam University, UK, where he lectured for fifteen years. Hence, he is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, UK, now known as Advance HE, UK.
Patrick’s core vision is to offer world-class academic research, teaching, consulting, and community services, in applied statistics, business analytics, and applied mathematical sciences; master relevant world systems, for example educational and economic systems, which generate challenging problems; and develop new kinds of academics and professionals, who are extraordinarily empowered to use multidisciplinary knowledge to resolve the problems, with creating, synthesising, responsible, and ethical mind-sets.

His primary research interests include: Stochastic Processes and their Applications in Finance, Insurance, Economics, Banking and Business (FIEBB); Applied Statistics and Business Analytics, Data Science, Big Data analytics, and Financial Mathematics. The pedagogical research interests include: Entrepreneurship, Enterprise Development, and Employability (3E) Education; and The Pedagogy of Modelling and Mathematical Sciences.
Patrick has published many papers, supervised more than ten PhD students in these areas, and created most of the knowledge platforms listed below from the graduate research results, using a special corporate-academic model of PhD research and supervision, which he developed since the last two decades. He uses the same model to attract significant research grants and multi-channel funding for myriad academic development projects.
